Honeycomb Table Debuts at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show
New York, February 11, 2014 - Ethan Abramson will be showcasing the newest addition to its collection, the Honeycomb Table, this March at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show. A beautiful balance between dark, rich walnut and maple highlights of pale honey gold, the Honeycomb Table is the first piece in the Ethan Abramson collection that mixes 2 different types of woods in one piece of furniture. It also sets itself apart from the rest of the collection with its design. “Previous pieces have had more sculptural curves, while this new work’s design is based fully in straight lines and angles“, says owner and head designer Ethan Abramson.
The name for the piece came only after it was completed. “Once the first one was built, I looked at it and was hit with two thoughts, how all the angles reminded me of a beehive and how the maple looked like honey between the walnut”, Abramson says. “Honeycomb seemed like the perfect name”.
Like all furniture from Ethan Abramson, the process of creating each Honeycomb Table is built around the idea of minimal waste and environmentally conscious production methods. All pieces are protected with a hand applied all-natural finish.
This will be the first time Ethan Abramson will be showing at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show. Along with the Honeycomb Table, it will be showcasing different pieces from its collection. During the show Ethan Abramson can be found in booth M190.
